Fencing - Do it your self

Fence - Do it yourself.

A little skifull is all what you need to assembly a garden fence and maintenance your PLUS products. Here on this page you will find usefull information and basic rules you can follow.

Fences and posts
All pressure impregnated wood post from PLUS is intended to be digged in the soil. Fence and espalier are digged 80-90 cm down, front fence do not need to be digged more than 70-80 cm down. Under speciel conditions as heavy wind or louse soil, you have to digg deeper down. We recomend to use glue wood post for fence gates to archieve the best stability. Dependent on soil conditions and wood species, the post can be placed on postfeets. If you choose to place concrete around the post we are making a notice that DO NOT place concrete right under the post, because the water must have a way to run away. PlusTec-treatet- and larch post must not be in contact with the soil because then they will rotten very quickly. Thise type of post are allways mounted on postfeets.

Slope terrain: Start the assembly on the highest ground and go downwards. Use a level and a carpenter's rule.

Post feets and post spears for concrete foundation.
Use only aproved postfeets and spears witch will give support high as possible onto the post. If the post feets only give support on 2 sides, the support must be parallel with the fences. Postfeets is delivered hot-galvanized.

*

To use on heavy fences as Gotland, Rondo, Silence, Deko and gates we allways recommend to use post feets type 4.

** We recommend our new fence fittings/post fittings witch you can not see after assembly to use on PlusTec-treatet-/ and larch post. Thise post fittings we do not recommend to use with gates assembly. The fences shall be mounted with Original PLUS Fence fittings to use with the new hided fitting.
